Haslet is located in the middle of the highest growth area. As cities located closer to Fort Worth and the mid-cities are built out, housing development will move north and northwest to Haslet and the surrounding area in search of affordable and plentiful land for single family homes.

Primary Trade Area:
The Haslet Primary Trade Area includes retail nodes at Roanoke, Heritage Trace and Watauga. Interstate 35 is a major transportation corridor for people traveling south from Oklahoma or north from Ft. Worth. The PTA of Haslet reflects a large commuter consumer base and is 30 miles tall and 27 miles wide. The city of Haslet is projected grow 9.1% from 2014 to 2019. The surrounding ISA is expected to grow 17.2% from 154,289 to 180,824 by 2019 and the PTA is expected to grow 11.4% from 605,917 to 675,018 by 2019.

Regional Trade Area:
Interstate customers in addition to the worker population create a Regional Trade Area in Haslet. Busiest locations are Westport Parkway, west of Interstate 35, with a combined eastbound and westbound count of 21,385 vehicles per day and FM 156, south of Downtown and Westport Parkway with a count of 13,957 vehicles per day.
