Top-notch schools and higher education – The Northwest Independent School District has become very desirable (acclaimed) to parents who demand excellence in academic standards. There are two elementary schools, Carl E. Schulter and Haslet Elementary in addition to Truett Wilson Middle School.  

Haslet is served by the Northwest Independent School District, one of the largest and wealthiest school systems in the state. Located within easy driving distance from several major universities, including Southern Methodist University, Texas Christian University, University of Texas-Arlington and university of Texas - Dallas, Haslet is also conveniently located near many other colleges offering undergraduate and master degree programs in a variety of disciplines. Additionally, there are community colleges and technical schools that offer associate degrees. Haslet is served by the Tarrant County Community College District. Also located in the area is the Tarrant County Workforce Board Training Center at the Alliant Airport.
